Just a quick, little sidenote:
{Do you ever have a "bright" idea that becomes a disaster? Uh, yeah...that was my idea to make an Advent wreath out of moss this year, versus just using the one I'd already made. It was so bad, in fact, that I couldn't bear to show you it! Then there was no more time on Sunday to put the original arrangement together for this post! But now, the wreath is done, in more of its original form...And the third candle will be on Sunday this next week, even if it kills me! That said, let's light the second candle...}
The candle we light this week is the Bethlehem candle...
"So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of
David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. He went there to register with Mary,
who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. While they were there, the
time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him
cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn."
~Luke 2: 4-7
O Little Town of Bethlehem
O little town of Bethlehem,
How still we see thee lie;
Above thy deep and dreamless sleep
The silent stars go by.
Yet in thy dark streets shineth
The everlasting Light;
the hopes and fears of all the years
Are met in thee tonight.
How silently, how silently,
The wondrous gift is given!
So God imparts to human hearts
The blessings of His heaven.
No ear may hear his coming,
But in this world of sin,
Where meek souls will receive Him, still
The dear Christ enters in.
{Here are the Prophecy candle and the Bethlehem candle, both lit this week.}
I hope you are all having a great week! :) Thank you for stopping by!
Blessings,
Jenni
